Thomas E. Skains
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Skains joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 1995, after nearly 15 years with Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Corporation in Houston. Prior to his appointment as Piedmont’s Chairman, President and CEO in 2002 and 2003, he served as Senior Vice President - Marketing and Supply Services.
Mr. Skains served as Chairman of the American Gas Association in 2009 and as Chairman of the Southern Gas Association in 2006, and currently serves on the Board of Directors for each organization. In addition, he presently holds positions on the Boards of Directors of BB&T Corporation, the Gas Technology Institute (GTI) and Charlotte Collegiate Football; is the general chairman of the Belk Bowl; and is on the Board of Trustees of the American Gas Foundation. Mr. Skains is also the 2nd Vice Chair of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. He has previously served on the Board of the United Way of Central Carolinas and the Board of Trustees for Providence Day School. Mr. Skains was also co-chair of the 2004 & 2005 American Heart Association Charlotte Metro Heart Walks and the 2006 Charlotte-Mecklenburg Arts and Science Council Annual Fund Drive.
Mr. Skains has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University and a Doctorate of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Houston Law School. He is an inactive member of the State Bar of Texas.

Victor M. Gaglio
Senior Vice President and Chief Utility Operations Officer
Mr. Gaglio joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 2012 and is responsible for Distribution and Utility Operations. He also oversees Engineering Services, which includes Construction, Operations Support & Services, Codes and Standards, Measurement, System Design and Modeling, Pipeline Integrity, GIS and Gas Control/SCADA.
Mr. Gaglio has more than 30 years of experience in the natural gas industry in a variety of positions with Columbia Gas Transmission and NiSource Gas Transmission and Storage. Prior to joining Piedmont, Mr. Gaglio served as Senior Vice President of Operations for NiSource Gas Transmission and Storage, where he was responsible for Field Operations and Maintenance, Storage, Land Services, and Health, Safety and Environmental programs.
Mr. Gaglio received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He has attended executive development programs at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business.

Jane R. Lewis-Raymond
Senior Vice President, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Chief Compliance and Community Affairs Officer
Mrs. Lewis-Raymond joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 2006 and is responsible for the Company's Legal Affairs, Legislative and Community Affairs, Piedmont Natural Gas Foundation, Sustainability and Carbon Management, Corporate Secretary and Corporate Compliance matters.
Prior to joining Piedmont, Mrs. Lewis-Raymond was Vice President - Regulatory Affairs for the American Gas Association (AGA) in Washington, D.C.
Mrs. Lewis-Raymond received her Bachelor’s degree and her law degree from the University of Maryland. She serves on the Teach for America Charlotte Board, the Keystone Energy Board and the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. She is a member of the Energy Bar Association as well as other professional organizations.

Karl W. Newlin
Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Newlin joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 2010 to manage Piedmont’s strategic planning functions, new business development activities and joint venture investments. In November 2011, Mr. Newlin was appointed to the position of chief financial officer, assuming responsibility for Piedmont’s accounting, controller, finance, treasurer, investor relations, risk insurance, credit policy, risk management and state regulatory affairs areas.
Mr. Newlin previously served as Managing Director, Investment Banking with Merrill Lynch & Co. in its New York and Los Angeles offices. He has extensive experience in the energy industry leading teams in corporate financings and business transactions for natural gas distribution and midstream companies, electric utilities, independent power producers and clean energy companies. He serves on the board of the Arts & Science Council, a public-private partnership which advocates for the arts, science, history and heritage in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County.
Mr. Newlin is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University and his MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Kevin M. O'Hara
Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer
Mr. O'Hara joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 1987 and is responsible for the Information Services, Human Resources, Organizational Effectiveness and Learning, Communications, Public Relations and Enterprise Quality Management functions. He has previously served as Piedmont’s Vice President of Business Development and Ventures, and Vice President of Corporate Planning.
Before joining Piedmont, Mr. O'Hara began his career with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in its Chicago office. He is a member of the Southern Gas Association and American Gas Association, and he currently serves on the Boards of the Charlotte Steeple Chase Association and The First Tee Charlotte.
Mr. O'Hara earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA from DePaul University.

Franklin H. Yoho
Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Operations Officer
Mr. Yoho joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 2002 and is responsible for Sales and Marketing, Transportation Services, Supply Planning, Gas Supply, Wholesale Marketing, Field Customer Service and Customer Service.
Prior to joining Piedmont, Mr. Yoho was Vice President, Business Development for CT Communications, and Senior Vice President - Marketing and Gas Supply for the former Public Service Company of North Carolina (PSNC), now a division of SCANA Corporation.
Mr. Yoho received his MBA from Ohio State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Washington and Jefferson College. Mr. Yoho serves on the Boards of the Charlotte Regional Sports Commission and The Southern Gas Association. He also serves on the Advisory Board of the Energy Production and Infrastructure Center (EPIC) at UNC Charlotte. He has served as First Vice President of the Southeastern Gas Association and was formerly on the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Gas Technology.

David Carpenter
Vice President - Planning and Regulatory Affairs
Mr. Carpenter joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 1982 and is responsible for regulatory relations in Piedmont’s three-state service territory. He also is responsible for gas accounting, long-range forecasting, budgeting and strategic planning.
Before being appointed to his current role, Mr. Carpenter served as Supervisor of Property Records, Manager of Rate Administration, Director of Rates, and Managing Director of Regulatory Affairs at Piedmont. Prior to joining Piedmont, he worked as a staff accountant and senior assistant for Deloitte, Haskins and Sells.
Mr. Carpenter earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Furman University and in 1984 qualified as a Certified Public Accountant in the state of North Carolina. He is a member of the American Gas Association’s State Regulatory and Rates committees. He also has served on the Southern Gas Association’s Rate Committee and as an instructor in the SGA’s Ratemaking Process class.

Brad Merlie
Vice President - Information Services
Mr. Merlie joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 2007 and is responsible for the strategy, planning, architecture and delivery of information technology solutions to support Piedmont’s business objectives.
Mr. Merlie has more than 30 years of experience in the natural gas industry. Prior to joining Piedmont, he served as Director of Operations for Williams International in Caracas, Venezuela.
Mr. Merlie earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University. He is president of the board of the non-profit International House in Charlotte and previously served on the advisory board of the United Way of Metropolitan Atlanta.

Rodney Myers
Vice President - Engineering and Operation Services
Mr. Myers joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 2003 and is responsible for system planning, engineering, transmission construction and operations; system integrity, codes, standards and compliance; and Utility Operations technology, performance and financial administration.
Before being appointed to his current role, Mr. Myers served in a variety of positions at Piedmont, including Managing Director of Engineering and Operations Services, Regional Executive, and Managing Director of LNG Storage Projects. Prior to joining Piedmont, he held management positions at North Carolina Natural Gas, formerly a Progress Energy company, and PSNC Energy, a SCANA company.
Mr. Myers earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University and his MBA from Queens University. He serves on the boards of Discovery Place and Gas Technology Institute’s Operations Technology Development Company, and is a former board member of Junior Achievement of Eastern North Carolina. He also serves on the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America Pipeline Safety Committee.

Robert Pritchard
Vice President - Treasurer and Chief Risk Officer
Mr. Pritchard joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 1978 and is responsible for the areas of finance, treasury, investor relations, risk insurance, risk management, credit policy and supply chain.
Prior to his current appointment, Mr. Pritchard held a variety of positions in the areas of finance, corporate planning and regulatory affairs.
Mr. Pritchard is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Mars Hill College and his MBA from Wake Forest University's Babcock School of Business. He serves as a member of the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Charlotte.

Jose Simon, CPA
Vice President and Controller
Mr. Simon joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 2006 and is responsible for corporate accounting, including property, plant and equipment, and accounts payable; internal and external financial reporting; corporate tax; and payroll.
Mr. Simon has more than 30 years of experience in the natural gas industry. Prior to joining Piedmont, he held several positions with Virginia Natural Gas, a subsidiary of AGL Resources, including Director of Public Affairs, Regional Manager, Manager of Field Services and Controller. Prior to his employment with Virginia Natural Gas, he held accounting and planning and budgeting positions at Stihl Inc. and Newport News Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co.
Mr. Simon earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Old Dominion University. He serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity Charlotte and served two years as Chair of the American Gas Association (AGA) Accounting Leadership Conference and the AGA Accounting Principles Committee. He also has served on the boards of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce as Vice Chairman, the Norfolk (Va.) Chamber of Commerce, Virginia Peninsula Habitat for Humanity, United Way of the Virginia Peninsula, Virginia Living Museum, Virginia Peninsula YMCA and the Virginia Oil and Gas Board.

Ken Valentine
Vice President - Business Development and Technology Services
Mr. Valentine joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 1996 and is responsible for evaluating and developing new business lines related to unregulated services, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, energy efficiency programs, gas technology support and commercialization, and the natural gas vehicle market.
Prior to joining Piedmont, Mr. Valentine worked for Williams/Transco, where he was responsible for planning, market analysis and forecasting, joint venture and mergers and acquisitions development and preparation of FERC filings.
Mr. Valentine earned his Bachelor of Science in Mineral Economics from Pennsylvania State University. He is the former chair of the American Gas Association FERC Regulatory Committee, a member and former task force chair of the Southern Gas Association and a former chair of the board of Carolina Raptor Center. He is a member of the board of Charlotte Energy Technology Commercialization, Inc., and is a member of the Charlotte Regional Partnership Business Development & Marketing Committee.

Ranelle Warfield
Vice President - Customer Service
Mrs. Warfield joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 1981 and is responsible for establishing the direction, performance and quality of Piedmont’s Customer Service Department. She also sponsors initiatives to improve customer service and satisfaction, increase efficiencies and enhance revenues.
Before being appointed to her current role, Mrs. Warfield served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for five years and Vice President of Sales for seven years, as well as in various other positions in sales and marketing. Prior to joining Piedmont, she managed retail consumer goods.
Mrs. Warfield earned her Bachelor of Science degree at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. She serves on the boards of the Piedmont Natural Gas Foundation and the March of Dimes - Greater Piedmont, and the Piedmont Natural Gas Strategic Advisory Board. She is a member and former chair of the Southern Gas Association Customer Experience team. She is former board chair of the March of Dimes - Greater Piedmont, former board member and president of the SouthEastern Gas Association, former treasurer of the N.C. Home Builders Association Board and former member of the Piedmont Natural Gas Political Action Committee Board.

Bill Williams
Vice President - Sales and Delivery Services
Mr. Williams joined Piedmont Natural Gas in 2006 and is responsible for Sales (Residential, Commercial, Key/Major Accounts, Military, Municipal and Power Generation) and Non-Regulated Services.
Mr. Williams has more than 25 years of experience in the natural gas industry in a variety of positions with the former Consolidated Natural Gas Company, now a part of Dominion, and more recently with the former Public Service Company of North Carolina (PSNC), now a division of SCANA Corporation. Prior to joining Piedmont, Mr. Williams was General Manager, Gas Supply and Sales for PSNC.
Mr. Williams earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Washington and Jefferson College. He serves on the executive committee of SouthStar Energy Services and on the board of Community School of the Arts in Charlotte, and was formerly board chairman of Carolina Raptor Center, also in Charlotte.
