Piedmont Natural Gas requests Tennessee customers reduce natural gas usage during period of extreme cold temperatures
NASHVILLE, Tenn., Feb. 18, 2015 – As a precautionary measure and with the forecast of extreme cold and morning low temperatures over the next several days, Piedmont Natural Gas is requesting customers in Tennessee reduce their natural gas usage during the hours of 5 a.m. to 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19 and Friday, Feb. 20. While natural gas supplies remain plentiful, a reduction in usage would help customers better manage their energy bills and ensure reliability of service to customers in the face of extreme cold temperatures and heavy natural gas demand.
